What we do
You have enough to think about. We build small apps — for Android and iPhone — that each take on a single job and handle it properly, so using one takes a minute and then leaves you alone.
An app that tries to do everything ends up needing a manual. Ours do a single job completely, so there is next to nothing to learn.
Tell it something once and it keeps track. You get a nudge when something genuinely needs you, rather than a list to sift through on a Sunday.
Everything works on your device, offline, with no account needed to start. Nothing leaves your phone unless you ask it to.
Applications
Maintenance tracking for homes, vehicles and equipment. It records what needs doing, when it was last done and which part it takes — then works out what is due from your actual mileage or running hours rather than guessing from the calendar.

The name
Steinbeck called it the Mother Road, and the name stuck. Long stretches of it are still out there — bypassed by the interstate, kept up by the people who live along it.
Useful things, kept in good repair, by the people who depend on them.
That is roughly the disposition we are after. It is also what our first application is about, which is not a coincidence.
